Bystander Takes Trucker to Hospital after Truck Hits Gas Line

WELD COUNTY, CO – A 40-year-old truck driver collided with a natural gas pipeline while driving near Weld County Road 29 and Weld County Road 72. The crash resulted in a fiery explosion near a home.

The accident took place on Mar. 18.

Official reports say that there were no damages to property or injuries in the explosion. The tractor-trailer was not transporting any hazardous materials during the incident, so no further dangers are expected as a result of the explosion.

Natural gas started continued leaking after the explosion happened. Luckily, officials say the leak has been contained.

A citizen who witnessed the crash took action and transported the truck driver to a hospital. 

Police are still investigating what might have caused the incident.
